As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll oversee large teams across depot and field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with documented processes. You’ll be a visible leader on the ground, balancing people leadership with operational demands in a fast‑paced environment that requires clear communication and sound decision‑making.
Traffic Force is a WA‑owned traffic management company with 20 years of experience and a strong reputation for safety, teamwork and operational excellence. Based at our Perth depot, this role is critical in driving daily operations, leading crews, and embedding a strong safety‑first culture across the business.
On a daily basis you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and leading 40+ personnel across depot and field operations
- Opening and closing the depot, ensuring vehicles, equipment and crews are operationally ready
- Supporting crews at shift start and finish (fit‑for‑work checks, equipment readiness, compliance)
- Documenting operational information daily using electronic task management systems and Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Monitoring calls and operational updates to keep teams aligned and informed
- Assisting with scheduling, resource allocation, equipment coordination and stock control
- Visiting worksites to provide leadership presence, operational guidance and safety feedback
- Supporting incident management, investigations and follow‑up reporting when required
- Actively promoting and reinforcing safe work habits, culture and practices
- Ensuring documented processes are followed accurately and consistently
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising and leading 40+ people
- Previous experience working in either the construction, logistics, retail or hospitality industry
- Focused on safe work habits, culture & practices with strong history of safety awareness
- Strong Digital and Computer Skills and ability to use various software programs daily to document operational information including using Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work with and build rapport with a wide variety of individuals.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the confidence to deal with a variety of people on a daily basis. You must be highly tech‑savvy and comfortable using multiple digital systems and software platforms to document operational information, track metrics, and meet reporting guidelines. This role requires daily use of electronic task management and operating systems.
- Demonstrated strong logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who approaches challenges with a clear, structured, and analytical mindset and can “think outside the box” to generate innovative and making well-reasoned solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes
- Ability to participate in a rotating on call roster (one weekend every 8 weeks + 2 mid-week nights per month)
Tickets / licences (highly regarded)
- Current WA C Class driver’s licence (or equivalent)
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- MRWA accreditations (BWTM, TC, WTM) or willingness to complete training
