Operations Supervisor – Perth Depot

Full Time | $85,000 – $95,000 + super + on-call allowance

Traffic Force is looking for an Operations Supervisor to help drive the day-to-day performance of our workforce and operational activities across Perth.

This is a people-focused operations role that combines workforce planning, rostering, scheduling, performance management, compliance monitoring, investigations and operational administration.

You’ll spend most of your time coordinating and supporting daily operations from our Perth depot, ensuring our teams are rostered correctly, meeting expectations, operating safely, and delivering excellent service to our customers. While this role is primarily office-based, you will also visit worksites to conduct audits, observations, investigations and provide operational support when required.

What you’ll be doing

Workforce Coordination & Scheduling

  • Coordinating daily rosters and workforce scheduling
  • Ensuring all shifts are appropriately resourced
  • Managing workforce changes and operational requirements
  • Supporting leave planning and workforce availability

People & Performance Management

  • Monitoring attendance, punctuality and workplace performance
  • Having difficult conversations when standards are not met
  • Managing performance concerns and documenting outcomes
  • Conducting coaching, mentoring and performance improvement discussions
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities

Compliance & Administration

  • Maintaining accurate operational records and documentation
  • Ensuring operational processes are followed consistently
  • Reviewing and processing operational paperwork
  • Using company systems and Microsoft Office daily
  • Preparing reports and documenting investigations

Safety & Operational Oversight

  • Conducting worksite audits and observations
  • Investigating incidents and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Monitoring compliance with company standards and procedures

Supporting safe and efficient daily operations

Visiting sites when required to provide operational support and leadership

What we’re looking for (Must-haves)

To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • At least 2 years’ experience supervising and leading 40+ people
  • Previous experience working in either the construction, logistics, retail or hospitality industry
  • Focused on safe work habits, culture & practices with strong history of safety awareness
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use various software programs daily to document operational information including using Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and build rapport with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the confidence to deal with a variety of people on a daily basis. You will be required to document in electronic task management and operating systems daily.
  • Demonstrated strong logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who approaches challenges with a clear, structured, and analytical mindset and can “think outside the box” to generate innovative and making well-reasoned solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on call roster (one weekend every 8 weeks + 2 mid-weeknights per month)

Tickets / licences (highly regarded)

  • Current WA C Class driver’s licence (or equivalent)
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • MRWA accreditations (BWTM, TC, WTM) or willingness to complete training
